A Greenbrier man died Sunday as a result of his injuries after he was involved in a head-on collision on State Highway 25 near Beaverfork Lake, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report.
Richard Aquino, 58, 10 Carefree Circle, was pronounced dead at UAMS Medical Center at 12:03 a.m., Sunday, following the wreck recorded at 8:12 p.m. Saturday.
Cynthia Newport, 51, also of Greenbrier, was injured in the wreck.
The report states Aquino was driving a Lincoln Towncar northbound on Highway 25 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck Newport’s Toyota Camry in the southbound lane.
Conditions were clear and dry, according to the report.
