NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — State highway workers are evaluating the condition of an overpass across Interstate 40 in North Little Rock, where a man died when his truck exploded after hitting a concrete support.
The state highway department said Friday that crews are using hydraulic jacks to stabilize the bridge but it is still not open to traffic.
The Thursday crash killed the driver of the truck, who was badly burned. Traffic was snarled for hours.
The highway department says traffic is moving normally along I-40 but crews installed a barrier wall along the westbound lane near the bridge.
It's not yet known when the Young Road overpass will reopen to traffic.

This was not a taker truck nor did it expode! It was a flat bed hauling rolls of plastic and it caught fire and burned! Get your facts halfway right. Thanks for your quick change to this article!
ahummmm...
Sorry but you're facts aren't correct either.
Channel 11 has a video posted showing the truck burning. It wasn't a flat bed
either way, what a horrible accident. Very sad.
My husband seen it happen it
My husband seen it happen it was not a tanker or a flatbed it was a 40 or a 53 foot box trailer and there was an explosion people should get there facts strait before they post about another people's facts! The point of the matter is that there was a man died and the 5 people willing to risk there life to try to save a life is what is important if you want to grip about something do it about the other 300 people that was there that didn't try to help. The people there trying to help and seen this poor man burning and begging for life will never be the same so the petty junk you people fight about may you never have to see this kind of thing happen because the ones who seen this never will never unsee it and will carry it to the grave with them.
I hope
you are not home schooling.
A man dies
And you are worried about if I homeschool??? That takes the cake of heartless. Maybe you won't ever have to see or go through anything like that.
Someone
left the cake out in the rain. And I'll never have that recipe again.
I passed through that area today and crews were still working...
....on reinforcing the overpass. Some serious burn damage - even to the interstate concrete. That had to be one very hot fire.
Very sad events.
