The Workforce Alliance for Growth in the Economy advisory board met Tuesday morning and approved a new program for teaching people bank-teller skills.

The Bank Teller Certificate teaches students how to handle banking transactions, including cash balances, paperwork, counterfeiting identification and checks.

The group also discussed the upcoming job fair, set for 10-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8.
