SPECIAL TO THE LOG CABIN
Area full-time students who are in fields related to health care and who are enrolled or beginning their education can to apply for a 2013-2014 scholarship through the Conway Regional Health Foundation.
The deadline for applying is Friday, March 1.
Recipients study medicine, nursing, laboratory-research, radiology, medical information, physical therapy, speech therapy, surgical technology, dentistry, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, EMT-paramedic or another health care field. The scholarship amount varies, but last year the foundation awarded about 15 area health care students scholarships totaling $24,000.
Students receive scholarships based on grade point average, leadership ability, activities and financial need, according to news releases.

Recipients will be notified in April and will be recognized at a reception at Conway Regional on April 26.
