SPECIAL TO THE LOG CABIN
The Office of Orientation at the University of Central Arkansas recently chose the 2013 Student Orientation Staff, according to a news release Monday.
The students are instrumental for running the university’s Summer Orientation and Academic Registration program, which is required for incoming freshmen. The volunteers also help with Welcome Week activities.
“I am very excited about the leadership team that has been selected for SOS 2013,” said Colin Stanford, coordinator of New Student Programs, Office of Orientation. “These individuals have shown they are committed to excellence in and out of the classroom through their academic achievements and service to the university.”
The volunteers will lead the 72-member Student Orientation Staff, according to the release. By the time the fall 2013 semester begins, each student will have worked 200 hours of volunteer service for the university.
