Representative David Meeks, R-Conway, announced on his Twitter account he has been named chair of the House Committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs.
The committee reviews matters pertaining to the aged and problems of aging; children and youth, military, veterans, legislative affairs, and memorials.
Meeks, District 70, served on the committee during the last legislative session.
He also served in Joint Performance Review, Public Transportation, Public Transportation, and in a non-voting role on the Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee.
