Conway Mayor Tab Townsell has filed for divorce from his wife, Donna, court documents have revealed.
Townsell, who was recently re-elected to his fourth term as mayor, filed divorce papers on Dec. 28 in Faulkner County Circuit Court. He filed under the name Bobby and his wife, whose first name is Donna, was listed by her middle name, Jo.
When asked about the timeline for the divorce proceedings, Townsell stated that the decision was made after the General Election.
The couple have been married since 2003 and have one child together.
In the answer to the divorce complaint, filed Tuesday by Donna Townsell, she has requested temporary possession of the marital residence, custody of the child and temporary support for her and the child as well as court fees and other costs involving the house.

If they'd 'stick it to him' by covering EVERYTHING that City Hall does...(that old-time investigative reporting stuff rather than...the stuff we usually get). But 'hell no' to wasting newspaper space on personal attacks simply 'cause y'all think Tab is a typical sleazy politician who's run the city like a 'good ole boy' club. AT LEAST let our newspaper be better than our politicians...and that's not a high bar to achieve.

Nothing sleazy about it, rathjen; he's the mayor and therefore his divorce is newsworthy. Beside, the story is simply a statement of fact and not an Enquirer piece full of personal attacks.
