Police respond to Xbox inspired fight

Police were called to a residence on Willow Street Tuesday after an altercation began between two men, ages 43 and 35, while playing Xbox.

According to the police report an uncle to one of the men overheard fighting in the living room. One of the men reportedly used an 18” metal pipe to knock over a table, breaking its glass top. He then allegedly hit the other man several times.  The victim told police they were playing Xbox, when “for no reason” the other man began to strike him.

The man told police he was knocked to the floor and tried to defend himself. He suffered a broken right arm, but could not recall the way it had happened. Police talked to the suspect, who alleged the argument began when the other man suddenly struck him with a coffee mug while playing Xbox.  One man sustained injuries including swelling and bleeding to his left eye. No one was arrested and no citations were issued.
