FCCLA attends Cluster Meeting

Mayflower High School students with the school’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently attended the annual Cluster Meeting in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The theme this year was, “Make Your Mark.”

The FCCLA group listened to motivational speaker, Harriet Turk, about living a healthy lifestyle and having self-confidence. The group also listened to an encouraging and humorous speech by author, educator and Patrick Grady, FCCLA Executive Director of Florida.

While in Oklahoma City, the group visited the Myriad Botanical Gardens and Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory. They also visited the renowned site of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing at the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum.

UCA ensemble group to host free concert
