The Marine Corps League has kicked off its annual Toys For Tots campaign, and Community Coordinator James Gibson said that, as always, the toys collected in the local drive stay in Faulkner County.
The drive, which connects toys donated by Faulkner County residents with needy children, has already begun at three sites: Bob’s Grill on Oak Street, Little Ceasar’s Pizza on Morningside Drive and the Faulkner County Library. It will continue until Dec. 15. The distribution of the toys will take place soon after.
“We also need to be connected with any families who will want to be a part of our drive,” Gibson said. He said anyone who would like their children to be a recipient can contact Gibson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gibson said those wishing to donate toys need to bring new, unwrapped toys to any of the locations. The group is also having a toy drive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 7-8 at Landers Harley Davidson on 1110 Collier Dr.
The League collected more than 200 toys in 2011 and was able to help 154 children in Faulkner County.
