Authorities say that preliminary reports from the medical examiner indicate local business owner Larry W. Billings, 60, died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
Officials declined to comment on the caliber or type of firearm but said it appeared Billings was dead for several hours before he was discovered.
Billings was the longtime owner of Conway Roller Rink. He was found on Monday evening in his bed by a teenage son, who alerted neighbors before calling police.
Investigators are still looking for a blue 2007 Nissan Titan pickup, license plate number 631 MEM, that belonged to Billings. The vehicle was entered into ACIC as stolen after it was discovered missing from the residence.
There were no signs of struggle or forced entry to the home and authorities have named no suspect in the case.
"We are looking at every potential thing that comes across us," said FCSO Capt. Matt Rice on Wednesday.
Billings had recently entered into a business agreement to sell his Oak Street real estate for development.
Anyone with information on the missing Nissan Titan is asked to contact the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office at (501) 450-4914.

Gunshot wound to the head...no sign of forced entry...truck missing...
I just do not believe Larry did this to himself.
he didn't
there was no weapon found on the scene and his truck is missing. Again, no weapon found on the scene.
Well...
Have they found the escapee from Tucker Prison, yet? Curtis Reese, Jr.? Coincidence?
Mr. Billings will be deeply missed! Sincerely saddened for his family and friends and myself!
??
I've been wondering the same thing. Why has there been no follow up as to the progress of the status of this escapee? So sad that this man's life has been taken, he was dear to a lot of people.
With the truck missing, no
With the truck missing, no weapon found, and no forced entry, the police aren't implying that it was a suicide, but maybe it was someone known to him.
The last thing an escaped convict would want to do is show up in a city where he has no family or friends and would stick out like a sore thumb. Plus he was found and caught.
Prayers to the family. Having only lived in Conway for 3 years, I didn't know Larry, but I can tell by the nice d warm comments that he was loved by many in this community.
Hope the one responsible is found soon and justice is swift.
