Authorities with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office and the Arkansas State Police are investigating the possible homicide of a local business owner that was reported on Monday evening at Canterberry Gap Road in Saltillo near Lake Conway.

Capt. Matt Rice, public information officer with FCSO, said a family member discovered the body of Larry W. Billings, 60, owner of Conway Roller Rink, on Monday evening inside of his home and reported it to police.

Billings reportedly suffered what appears to be a single gunshot wound. No weapon has been located and his body has been sent for autopsy and the results are expected Tuesday afternoon.

FCSO issued a BOLO around 7:35 p.m. for an unknown suspect driving a blue Nissan Titan pickup, license plate number 631 MEM, that belonged to Billings. The vehicle was entered into ACIC as stolen.

Rice said the vehicle was missing from the residence at the time the body was discovered, but there were no signs of struggle or forced entry to the home.

Investigators throughout the night conducted interviews with family members. Those interviews are expected to continue throughout the day.

At this time, there are no suspects and anyone with information on the missing Nissan Titan is asked to contact the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office at (501) 450-4914.

not in arkansas, they get to

not in arkansas, they get to sit on death row for the rest of their life while we support them, and with cody in charge it probably doesn't meet his standard for capitol murder

Trusted

At one time back in the years some of us trusted the welfare of our children to this man a lot of times. My children were there a lot. We taught them to skate there. They in turn theirs. I've heard a few bad reports also in the past. When it comes down to it I want to remember him as I knew him. My wife talked to him a few days ago and said how much he was looking forward to retirement. RIP LARRY. Still loved and to be forever missed.

Caring

You are so right "Bad boy", he was one of the few that I can say not only cared about the community, but the people of the community as well! Especially children! Not only did I grow up going to the skating rink, my children did also, this will touch the lives of the young as well as the old. We love you Larry!!! RIP!!!

selling on contract....

I think that they should question the guy that is supposedly buying the skating rink on contract from Larry Billings. He came into the assessors office a couple months ago asking questions about the property and stated that He was trying to convince Larry to deed the property to him so that he could sell it to Olive Garden instead of Larry, that he and Larry were trying to work out a deal on that and I told him that Larry came into this office over a year ago and said that he wasnt sure he would ever relocate the skating rink or do anthing with a new one, that he may just take the money from Olive Garden or another restaurant and retire and get out of the skating rink business. If that guy is buying it with a recorded contract and Larry is out of the way, then the sell of it would fall to the next guy buying it. Definetly worth questioning for motive I would think.
