Employees of a downtown restaurant contacted police late Saturday night to report that a man sustained injuries after possibly consuming too much alcohol.
The owner of the establishment told police he observed the 38-year-old man “stumbling toward the door” when he approached the man to ask him “how everything was.” The man reportedly stopped walking, “got a blank look in his eyes,” and fell forward, breaking the glass door with his head.
MEMS arrived on scene and treated the man for injuries. It was later determined that a medical condition may have caused the man to pass out.

" he observed the 38-year-old man “stumbling toward the door”"
Don't you mean
" he observed the 38-year-old OLDER man “stumbling toward the door”
Let's keep the reporting consistent, shall we?
Where?
Why don't you print the name of the establishment? Seems like the employees thought he may have been over-sereved.

Since there was NO broken window\door @ Old Chicago.
I am curious as why the LCD would try to protect the business NO address or the name of the place. Is it a secret? Who is the LCD covering up for in this mess?
Really???
The so called 38 year old man is a friend of mine that I was with at the unnamed restaurant. We were there at 8:30 Sat night and he had only ordered one beer that he had not drank half of yet, when he felt ill and on his way to the restroom passed out. It was determined that his blood sugar was low after we spent the rest of the night in the ER. Its funny to me that the owner of the store's story is not the same as the one that he told at the scene and I am dissapointed that the paper would publish a story slandering someone as being drunk without getting all the info.
well
Is it slander if no names were mentioned?
yes
Sincerely,
"A man"
I'm not an actual Doctor, but I play one on TV
Beer raises the blood sugar levels, not lowers.
People with blood sugar conditions, such as type II diabetes would have a higher blood sugar content after consuming beer.
Also how is it slander? The employees called the cops and told the dispatch that a man passed out and busted his head breaking the door, and that he had possibly been drinking....So are you saying the paper is slandering him for stating what was in the report?
