Conway police are looking for suspects involved in two separate incidents of aggravated residential burglary.
The first incident was reported just before 10 p.m. Friday night at the 2700 block of Dave Ward Drive.
A resident of an apartment complex reportedly opened the door to find two masked men with handguns who forced their way into the apartment and stole $420 in cash, a laptop and two gaming consoles and accessories.
The 20-year-old Conway man told police he fled the residence and hid in the bed of a pickup truck for several hours before returning to the apartment. He described the men as dark-skinned, and each about 5’9”. One suspect was reportedly wearing a white hoodie and gray sweatpants and was carrying two pistols. The man said the other suspect was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans and was also carrying a pistol.
Another incident involving a shotgun-brandishing burglar occurred early Monday morning on Creekwood Drive, where a 30-year-old mother of one reported that she and her son were preparing to leave for school when a black male entered her garage and took her vehicle.
Police said on Tuesday the stolen and unoccupied Pontiac Aztec was recovered from a dead-end alley at 8 Antler Way Court in Sherwood.
Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact the Conway Police Department at 501-450-6120.

That's terrible. To the first person I would suggest they request his landlord install a peep-hole in his door if he doesn't already have one. They are a handy thing to have. I never open the door without first looking through to see who's out there.

well
If we would just ban hoodies, these things wouldn't happen.
Burglars Beware
At my house I have a "no soliciting" sign on the door. If someone does ring the bell or knock, I answer the door with a loaded handgun in my possession that I hold behind my back. Burglars beware if you come to my house.
easy there, Dirty Harry
You might want to be careful with that approach.
I've read a few articles about a homeowner answering the door when the cops arrive at the wrong address for a domestic and it didn't end well for the homeowner.
Put it in your waistband, don't answer brandishing.
Unless you're going to a soccer game at Hendrix. Hey-yo!
upgrade!
looks like we've upgraded from Pontiac Sunfires to Pontiac Aztecs!
But the real question is - who would steal a Pontiac? If you're gonna go to jail for grand theft auto, at least do it for a car with some value.
well

Number one...Honda Accord (1994), that's right a 17-year old car is the most stolen during 2011.
No one says thieves are smart.
you're making my point
Hondas have resale value. Pontiacs don't. It's like stealing the giant jar of pickled eggs from the grocery store. No one's gonna buy that. Steal something valuable, like bacon! Everybody likes bacon.
well
I don't think they are worried about the resale value when they abandon it in another town.
I think they were looking for a ride home.
A Pontiac will suffice.
Now, if they go to sell it, sure...Honda all the way.
Unless the Pontiac was full of bacon, then the thieves would be pure genius.
Did someone say...
BACON!?!?!?!?!
