Conway K-Life will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a fundraiser and a celebration at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at Agora Special Event Center.
“For several years, we had a sports-based theme,” said Jeff Standridge, K-Life Board President. “This year, we’re planning for some great food, great music, a silent auction and the side-splitting comedy of Dennis ‘The Swan’ Swanberg.”
K-Life,a youth ministry whose mission is to work alongside churches to positively impact Conway-area youth, has been positively impacting the lives of Conway youth since 1992, Standridge said, and “members of the K-Life Board are pulling out all of the stops this year.
“We have enlisted a nationally recognized comedian, impressionist, and entertainer to headline the event,” Standridge said. Swanberg is a speaker, author, teacher and TV host.
“Affectionately known to his national T.V. audiences as ‘The Swan,’ he is a seasoned communicator whose sly wit delivers life-enriching truths on wings of laughter,” Standridge said.
The Conway K-Life paid staff of three train and mentor about 40 college-age and young professional volunteers, who in turn train and mentor over 300 students through small groups.
In addition, the ministry impacts more than 450 kids, in grades 5-12 through these small groups, weekly K-Life Klub meetings and other events.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $15 per person and may be obtained at www.ConwayKlife.com or by calling 501-329-4929.

"... he is a seasoned communicator whose sly wit delivers life-enriching truths on wings of laughter,”
I thought that was me! I'm, like, all up in the wings of laughter and life-enriching bit! I invented that bit! What?
No, seriously, my routine is famous....
"Life enriching truth."
"Life enriching truth? Slowly I turned......"
You may remember it from my turn in the off-Broadway hit "Plotz McGoogle and the Farmer Five." ("What the what?" -- Schenectady Free Press)
And now it's come to this. I weep for civilization; I weep for art.

Are these close?
Plus I know kids who came home stoned and drunk after going to K-Life meetings so I always though that things really sink in over there.
