The body of a pregnant 24-year-old Conway woman was sent to the state crime lab for analysis after the woman was discovered dead in her apartment on Friday.
According to the report, police responded to a call at Chapel Ridge Apartments on Second Street around 1:30 p.m. after the woman was found unresponsive in her home.
MEMS personnel were unable to revive the woman, who was reportedly 38 weeks pregnant and had been receiving routine prenatal care.
Faulkner County Coroner Pat Moore said the woman had been to the doctor on Thursday and that “pregnancy-wise” everything seemed to be OK.
“There was nothing suspicious at the scene,” Moore said. “We were just unable to identify an exact cause of death, so the body was sent for an autopsy.”
Moore said on Monday afternoon he was awaiting autopsy results.

There is probably family out there mourning this young girl and her unborn child.
Very sad.
Agreed
No where in this article does it say that family was notified, and why is the coroner giving information on a case that should be handled by the city, county and state. I hope this is not how the family finds out.
umm... the county coroner is
umm... the county coroner is the one that handles all of that. And i'm sure family was notified even if it doesn't state it in the paper.
