Friends of David and Rebecca Cronk gathered on Michelangelo’s rooftop Monday afternoon to say farewell to the family headed for a two-year assignment by H-P to Singapore.

Cronk will be vice-president of inside sales for Asia-Pacific-Japan division of H-P.

The Cronks were among the first to arrive with H-P when the technology center located in Conway.

They became involved in the community with Cronk serving on the Conway 2012 committee that was successful in passing a millage increase of 1.9 mills for Conway Schools.

Early on, Dave Cronk was named to the Conway Regional Health Foundation Board and is currently serving as chairman. Rebecca Cronk serves on the hospital’s Women’s Council and was involved on the Dazzle Daze committee.

Cronk serves on the board of Soaring Wings Ranch and will be in a “virtual race” from Singapore.

Son Ethan Cronk, a sixth-grade student at Ruth Doyle Elementary School, finished in the top five in state qualifying for the National Geographic Bee, one of the first Conway students to reach the top 10 in a decade.

According to friends, the couple plan to keep their Conway  home and return after the two-year assignment.

The event was sponsored by Conway Regional Health Foundation and the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce.
