An eight-room rock residence about two miles east of Conway, on the ridge road, occupied by Emil Nabholz, his wife and their 12 children, was completely destroyed by fire at 5 a.m. today. Mr. and Mrs. Nabholz and the children barely made their escape from the flaming home, saving none of their household goods. They had to get out in their night clothing.
The house, owned by Ted Thessing and completed only last September, was valued at $1,800, with no insurance.
The fire was believed to have originated from a defective flue.
