The Conway City Council will meet at noon Friday in a special called meeting with one item on the agenda concerning compliance for tax-exempt bonds. The council will meet in the conference room on the first floor at City Hall.
Because this is the only item on the agenda, the council may vote not to meet during its regularly scheduled time, Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Jack Bell, assistant to Conway Mayor Tab Townsell, said the reason for the move and the possible cancellation of the regular meeting is mainly due to the urgency of the resolution to adopt additional bond compliance procedures for Conway.
"This is something that needs to be done quickly and sent to the [Internal Revenue Service] next week, so it is the reason that we pushed the date forward," Bell said.
If approved, the resolution will take effect immediately. No other business is scheduled for the meeting, and the council will consider whether to cancel the regularly scheduled meeting at that time.

...Conway is in danger of loosing it's tax exempt tax for its bonds. That would REALLY increase the cost of any future bond issues (by raising the interest rates).
And they wonder why so many citizens lack confidence in them.
Does this have anything to do
Does this have anything to do with Tuesday's vote?

Does this have anything to do with Ruby Tuesdays?
