Mr. and Mrs. George Schichtl Jr., have bought the residence property on College Avenue known as the Hendrickson place. They are planning to remodel and improve the residence and will occupy it as soon as completed.

C. Homer Jones of Conway has been elected president of the Arkansas Fair Managers Association at its 15th annual convention in Little Rock.
Jones, Faulkner sanitation officer, is manager of the Faulkner Fair Association.
Other officers of the state organization are Clyde E. Byrd of Little Rock, secretary-treasurer, and Raleigh Sylvester of Blytheville, Bailey Graham of Harrison and Loran Johnson of Warren, vice presidents.
About 142 delegates representing 44 county and district fairs in Arkansas attended the convention.

Clyde Reese, dean of the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Central Arkansas, was honored recently at graduation ceremonies for the Recruit Training Command Division at the San Diego (Calif.) Naval Training Center.
Mr. Reese was among 81 educators from Arkansas and Oklahoma touring the naval station Jan. 30 to review the educational and career opportunities available to young people who join the Navy following high school or college.
Mr. Reese assisted with graduation ceremonies by commending and handing out awards to the honor graduates in each company.

The Central Baptist College Lady Mustangs defeated Bacone College 65-60, Monday night in Conway.
Kacey Sommers and Melissa Edmison were high scorers for CBC with 14 points apiece.
Teammate Marie Earwood added eight. The lady Mustangs led 45-31 at the half.
