Members of the metro SWAT team, made up of officers from the Conway Police Department and deputies with the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department, executed a “no knock” narcotics search warrant on a home located at 86 Middle Road last week and located thousands of dollars, drugs and a firearm in an unlikely hiding spot.

According to a police report from the incident, as the team moved into place and began searching the home, they located a Glock .40 caliber handgun in the tank on the back of the toilet. The gun was loaded with seven rounds.

During the course of their search, they also discovered $5,300 in a boot located in a bedroom closet, $397 in a purse found on a table and $150 under a men’s baseball hat that had been placed on top of a dresser in a bedroom.

Digital scales, a bag with a green, leafy substance and bags of a white rock substance were also found inside the home. The white substance in the bags was tested by an investigator and the results indicated that the substance was cocaine.

The couple inside the home were arrested and transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center.

Maurice Green, 27, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, maintaining a drug premise and possession of a firearm by certain persons. The latter charge indicates that Green has a previous felony conviction.

Nicole Green, 21, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and maintaining a drug premise.

According to the report, the money from the search was taken to the city clerks office to be deposited. The paperwork concerning the seizure of the drugs and money was faxed to the state drug director.

The drugs were sent to the Arkansas State Crime lab for identification.

The officers stated that the arrests are the end result of a month long investigation.

...when the cops asked why he had a loaded handgun in toilet, the suspect replied 'You never know when things might go to cr@p!"

i gotta ask...

Michael Green...is his middle name "Leafy"?

$5300 in one boot? Talk about waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Everyone knows putting a gun in your toilet tank saves water. DUH.

I Bet....

That they spent more money on this than the total of the cash and drugs they seised. If this doesn't lead to a BIGGER Bust it is almost a waste of time.
But with the election next Tuesday they had to get some sort of LOOK WHAT WE DID out there.
With all the cooks out there why can't they find a least one meth lab a week or a month. And stupid rolling cooker don't count but 1/2 of a real lab.

You're right. How dare law enforcement arrest people for breaking the law without turning a profit over the event. The CPD and FCSO should be ashamed of themselves.

the irony is

if law enforcement starting turning a profit, BuzzBy would say that they are in it for the money. They just can't win with this guy.

You miss the point just like the slacker DJB1971 they get a BIG write up on a itty bitty nothing bust 2 weeks before a tax vote where they are to get a LARGE share of the $$'s
They got a pocket full of Crack Rock, 5K and a Glock 40 cal. the LRPD could nab this kind if bust twice a day on about 10 different street corners.
When was the last time the detected and busted a meth lab?

"When was the last time the detected and busted a meth lab?"

They didn't detect that the tard just parked and acted stupid in a bank parking lot. That was a freebie no work by law enforcement was done except for a call to have them come to the site and see what dude's problem was and it was he was riding dirty.
