Now that the dust has settled from the surprising closing of two popular restaurants in town — Ryan’s and Denny’s — Conway’s civic clubs have made new arrangements for meeting locations.
The move of the Hole in the Wall Cafe to more spacious quarters at the Old Gin on Markham Street opened up a new meeting location for several groups. The cafe will officially open Tuesday, according to Lori Case, a partner in the enterprise.

• Conway Optimist Club, noon Tuesdays, Hole in the Wall Cafe at the Old Gin.
• Conway Morning Optimist Club, 7 a.m. Tuesdays, Something Brewing.
• Conway Noon Rotary Club, 11:30 a.m., Thursdays, Conway Country Club.
• Conway Morning Rotary Club, 7 a.m. Tuesdays, President’s Dining Hall, Christian Cafeteria, UCA.
• Conway Lions Club, noon Tuesdays, Conway Country Club.
• Faulkner County Tea Party lunch/soapbox, 11:30 a.m., first Tuesday, Hole in the Wall Cafe at the Old Gin.
• AARP 3rd Mondays, 11 a.m., Conway Senior Citizens Center.
• The Arkansas Conservative Forum, 11:30 a.m., fourth Friday at the Hole in the Wall at Old Gin.
