Criminal mischief - second degree, 4400 block of Orchid St.
A man made contact with an officer to report that during the night, someone had destroyed his mailbox. The officer arrived at the scene and determined that someone had driven over the mailbox, leaving parts of their vehicle behind. One part of the suspect’s vehicle that was at the scene had the word ‘Nissan’ on it. The officer located the suspect’s vehicle on the next street over from the victim’s home. He placed the pieces from the scene on the vehicle and confirmed that they were a match. While he could not get anyone at the residence to answer the door, the officer was able to obtain all of the suspect’s information from his vehicle registration. The officer will attempt to make contact with the owner throughout the rest of the day.

Add commentI'll bet
I'll the owner will claim the vehicle had been stolen.... then returned...
Good plan
I would have claimed self-defense.

Arrested for Driving While Blind?
I sure Dude was impaired but nothing they can prove
Pay restitution and be done with it.
Really?
I can't help but wonder who would be idiotic enough to go smashing mailboxes in their own neighborhood?! That's what places like Pickles Gap are for! (J/k; I don't condone illegal activity.)
no need
that what the Pickles Gap mailman is for. Or rather mail-woman. She hit mine so many times she had to replace it bc it was falling apart and has since hit it again!!!
Jump
I hate it when homeowners install them jumping mailboxes. Seems like I see a lot of them around here. Should make it against the law to own them. They can really mess up a good car.
