Update:
A structure fire claimed the home of a woman and her two children at 15-1 Louise Lane in Greenbrier early Wednesday. The three, along with the woman's boyfriend, were inside the home when the fire began. All escaped major injury.
According to Greenbrier fire chief Cody Fulmer, the resident's boyfriend received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Fulmer said that he refused further treatment.
Fulmer told Greenbrier correspondent B.J. Fox that the emergency call was placed at 8:38 a.m.
Firefighters arrived at the house within 10 minutes to find the structure fully engulfed.
"The home is a total loss; but they cannot determine the cause as yet because the house is still too hot," said Fulmer. "Nothing was salvageable by the family."
Members of the Greenbrier Fire Department worked until 12:30 p.m. to extinguish the fire at the home just off of Garrett Road.
Fulmer said that the Red Cross has been notified of the family's need.
