Sheriff's Log (7/16/11)

Among reports recently released by the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department:

 

1. Aggravated assault, 90 Solomon Grove Road, Damascus. Deputies responded to the area in reference to a domestic dispute. They found a woman sitting on the ground outside the home. She had blood on her face and a cut on the top of her head. The woman told the deputies that her husband had hit her on the head with a lamp. When the deputies went into the home, they discovered a broken lamp and a pool of blood in the couple’s bedroom. The suspect told the deputies that he and the victim had been drinking and he told her that he wanted to break up and that she would have to find another place to live. He stated that she pulled a knife on him and that she has cut him before. The victim was transported by MEMS to Conway Regional Medical Center. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center.

2. All other offenses, 10 block of Rainwood Drive, Mount Vernon. Deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to an animal welfare report about horses at the home. They made contact with a woman who owned the horses and noted that two looked fine and one appeared to be in poor condition. The woman advised that she had rescued the horse from somewhere in Oklahoma and was trying to get the animal to gain weight. The deputies observed that all of the horses had clean water and fresh food. An incident report was filed.

3. All other offenses, 10 Nickanna Lane, Conway. Deputies spoke with a man who stated that he had heard a small girl yelling “I want my Daddy” and watched a man leading the girl inside a home on the street. The man stated that it looked like the man leading the girl was holding onto her by the hair. Deputies made contact with the man and the girl. The man stated that he was the girl’s father, and he brought her back from the home because she’d been grounded from going to her friend’s house. The father told the deputies that his daughter was yelling “that’s not fair” when he escorted her home. An incident report was filed.

4. Intimidation, 10 block of Ruth Drive, Conway. Deputies responded to the area and made contact with a woman who stated that she had locked her son out of her home following an argument they had and now he was threatening to break back in. The woman stated that she had given her son a week to find a job or he would have to move out. She told him to go get in his vehicle and go into town and find a job and when he went outside, she locked him out. Officers spoke with the son who stated that he just wanted to get his stuff from her house and he would leave and not come back. His mother allowed him to get his property and left the residence. An incident report was filed.

5. Simple assault, 200 block of Naylor Road, Vilonia. Deputies were called to the area in reference to a disturbance. When they arrived they spoke with a man who stated that his brother had come in his residence and started a fight. The victim stated that he did not know how the suspect got in his home. He also stated that after the suspect fought with him, he took a cell phone that belonged to the victim’s wife and then left the residence. Deputies searched the area for the suspect but could not find him. The victim was advised of the warrant process.

6. All other offenses, 30 block of Stephens Road, Conway. Deputies were called to a home in reference to an abandoned vehicle. When they made contact with the home owner, he advised that he heard a vehicle in his yard and when he looked outside there was a motorcycle parked in his driveway. The deputies checked to see if the motorcycle was stolen and determined that it wasn’t. The owner was advised that he could have the motorcycle towed.

7. Impersonation, 40 block of Pine Valley Drive, Conway. A deputy made contact with a woman who stated that she had received a letter from the social security office advising her that her request to have her funds deposited to a Walmart cash card had been approved. The woman stated that she had not asked for the change and called the social security administration office to have the funds sent to her bank account as they always had been. The woman stated that although she did not have any money stolen from her, she was worried that someone had access to her personal information to make the change in the first place. The deputy advised the women to check her credit information with the credit bureaus and an incident report was filed.

8. Intimidation, 200 block of South Broadview Street, Greenbrier. A man came to the sheriff’s department offices to speak with a deputy in reference to his ex-wife leaving him threatening voicemail messages. The man stated that the suspect has threatened his new girlfriend and has also threatened to hit him. He was advised of the warrant process and an incident report was filed.
