Posted: April 8, 2011 - 8:39pm

Among reports recently released by the Conway Police Department:1. Terroristic threatening, 1700 block of Independence Street. A neighbor reported on March 31 that he heard multiple gunshots and saw a subject flee. Other witnesses said they heard the suspect yell: “I’m about to start shooting up whoever’s car this is!” An Oldsmobile Cutlass was hit with several .32 caliber rounds. The suspect was not located in the area then but was arrested on Wednesday after he led officers on a chase through the Price Cutter parking lot and over a barbed-wire-topped fence. After officers took him to the emergency room, he was jailed and charged with fleeing.2. Possession of a controlled substance. In a fast-food parking lot on Dave Ward Drive on April 6, officers interviewed a man concerned about the welfare of his wife and son. During the interview, officers said, the man acted suspiciously and was unable to keep track of the conversation. On checking, the officers learned that he had several outstanding warrants and was taken to jail.As officers arrived at the front door of his wife’s residence on Fairview, a small child pulled back a curtain and looked out. Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana. The K-9 unit found marijuana and smoking pipes. The male resident was jailed, charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of an instrument of crime. The woman was not cited. Officers contacted the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline.3. Burglary, 1600 block of Hogan Lane. The victim reported on Wednesday that someone tore through her house while she was gone for only 20 minutes. Nothing was missing, she said, but books were thrown onto the floor, Crayons were spread out, clothes were emptied from drawers and mattresses were moved. She was advised to call back if anything is missing.4. Forgery, The Sewing Center, 800 block of Harkrider. A sewing machine and an embroidery machine were paid for with a forged check on Wednesday. A store employee said the suspect asked for the machines by make and model. The check had been altered, and there was no record for the driver’s license number and date of birth given with the check, officers said.5. Commercial burglary. Saxon Drilling at 1500 block of Dave Ward Drive, reported that 100 feet of copper wire was stolen from a rig trailer. The value was estimated at $9 per foot.

#1. That should be

"I’m about to start shooting up whosever car this is!” Or "I'm about to start shooting up this car, no matter to whom it belongs." OR "Whosoever this car belongs to should be aware that I am about to start shooting it up." OR, "To Whom it May Concern, I am about to commence shooting up your vehicle." OR . . .

Hey! *sigh* Ya know? You just can't get people to pay attention any more.
