Two men were injured Saturday following a three-car accident at Highway 64 and Skunk Hollow Road.

According to the report, 17-year-old Adrian Johnson, of Conway, was traveling west on Highway 64 just before 1 p.m. Saturday. A second vehicle was stationary in the turn lane waiting to turn left onto Skunk Hollow Road. Kevin Neal, of Conway, was eastbound on Highway 64, approaching the intersection.

Johnson began traveling in the turn lane and noticed the second vehicle blocking his path. He lost control of his vehicle and entered oncoming traffic, striking the side of Neal’s vehicle.

The collision caused Neal’s vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn in the eastbound ditch, while Johnson’s vehicle overturned and came to rest on its side in the middle of the highway.

Trooper Matthew Toon with the Arkansas State Police said it did not appear that Johnson was attempting to turn onto Skunk Hollow Road.

Conway resident Gary McCurdy, a passenger in Johnson’s vehicle, was transported by MedFlight to Baptist Health. A hospital spokesperson confirmed Wednesday that McCurdy is still a patient, but could not release any information on his condition.

Neal was transported by MEMS to Conway Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Johnson was cited for reckless driving.
