Conway Supper Club located at 408 Highway 65 N.presents Arkansas phenomenon After Eden at 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday night. Based out of Hot Springs, these veteran musicians have been playing all over the region, with their special brand of rock & roll.
On vocals and fronting the group is Ben Thompson. He can sing virtually any song you would ever ask him to. With over a five octave range, Thompson offers precise mimicking of the 80s, 90s, & classic rock covers they perform. The quartet has several original songs, which are all noteworthy, but their song “Say Goodbye” is currently holding the number top spot on Reverb Nation.com for more than 12 weeks locally in the rock category.
The guitarist and leader of the band is nationally-known virtuoso, Tommy Roeck (pronounced Rock). Roeck started forming the group after he had toured and performed abroad for 20 years through the 80s and 90s in Detroit, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Nevada, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Denver, among others and returned home to the natural state to be with his family. Among his friends and fellow performers are: Sebastian Bach of Skid Row, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, and Vivian Campbell of Def Leppard to name a few.
On bass, Chuck Smith is a native of Hot Springs, who has been performing and searching his entire career for the right situation and band members to be able to realize his own aspirations. He is a veteran performer whose endeavors have led him to play with many of the region’s top “hired gun” both live and in the studio for over 35 years.
On drums, J.D. Beasley boasts groove, excellent meter, great tone, and precise rudiments. Beasley has played in many groups over the last 30 years.
The vision behind the band and the music is an entire team effort of all four members, with all responsibilities, credits and liabilities held equally. The band is also playing on Halloween weekend at Lucky’s Bar in Hot Springs. Visit www.afteredengroup.com for more information or contact Mary Holt at Little Rock Entertainment for booking.
