The general public will meet the local business and restaurant communities for the Taste of Conway and Business Expo 2010 at the newly constructed Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds.
The Taste of Conway, hosted by the Conway Convention and Visitors Bureau, the business community and general public’s opportunity to sample cuisine from local restarants and caterers, will commence its 10th year from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26.
Business booths will also be open at this time, and tickets are $15 each. Entertainment will be provided by Rodney Block and the Music Lovers.
New to this year schedule is the Business Expo Breakfast, slated for Oct. 27 from 8 to 9 a.m., where the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce will unveil the new Conway 2025 plan.
The plan, as described by the Chamber, is a comprehensive, community visioning and strategic planning process designed to establish priorities that will guide Conway’s development over the next 15 years.
The plan includes 13 topics and was developed by community volunteers. Tickets to the breakfast and presentation are available at $10 each.
Several free informative sessions are scheduled for the Expo Center’s floor on Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Topics include: Natural gas, customer service, technology, leadership and teamwork, and ballot issues two and three.
The business booths will also be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday Admission is free at this time.
The event is sponsored by Chesapeake Energy, and tickets are available at the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce at 900 Oak St.
