Girl Scouts in Faulkner County sold 67,452 boxes of cookies this year, and 35 girls were recently recognized by the Faulkner Service Unit of Girl Scouts for their outstanding cookie sales.

“We are extremely proud of these girls,” said Faulkner Service Unit Cookie Manager Susan Eggert. “We are also proud of the many troops and individuals who donated hundreds of boxes of cookies to local organizations like Red Cross, Bethlehem House and the military.”

“Troop 6178, led by Wendy Kulpinski, organized for delivery of over 910 boxes of cookies to Iraq. In addition, several troops had collections for local non-profit organizations.”

Those girls recognized for attaining the level of Cookie Brigade, which is 400 to 599, boxes included Shelby Jones, Troop 6028; Angelina Osburn, Troop 6080; Aaryanna Janowiecki and Natalie Ross, Troop 6120; Paige Brown and Breanna McLaughlin, Troop 6178; McKenzie Bernardini and Nichele Wescott, Troop 6250; Sarah Duvall, Troop 6273; Kaity Haynes, Troop 6299; Katlyn Bernardini, Troop 6457; Marisa Hicks, Troop 6463; Mystic Clements and Maddison Hulslander, Troop 6615; Hailey Scroggins and Lainey Wilson, Troop 662l; Sarah Raycher, Troop 6641; Ericka Bane, Troop 6687; Harley Huggins and Kamren Johnson, Troop 6688; Hailey Jackson, Troop 6707; Tori Burton and Amanda Gericke, Troop 6711; Sarah Kemp, Troop 6717 and Raelynn Stone, Troop 6740.

Those girls reaching the Super Seller level of 600 to 999 boxes were Sarah Colony and Jasmine Presley and Brittney Sim, Troop 6152; Ashley Moore, Troop 6178; Kayla Chassells, Troop 6273; Margaret Easley and Ashten Yarberry, Troop 6687; and Abigail Duvall and Alexandra Taschuk, Troop 6707.

Melanie Dickie, Troop 6763, made the thousand-box level, selling 1,107 boxes.

According to Eggert, proceeds from the cookie sale go to Girl Scouts in Arkansas. With each box purchased, a portion of the proceeds remains with that girl’s troop. Other proceeds help Diamonds Council provide educational and enriching activities for girls.
