First Security Bank President Johnny Adams, bank employees, Chamber of Commerce supporters and welcoming friends enjoyed a ribbon cutting ceremony for the official opening of their new 1.5 million dollar facility yesterday. The bank broke ground on September 18, 2009 and is now officially open for business in their new facility. A welcoming cake, flowers, punch and many goodies were on-hand for the well wishers.
Their new facility replaces the old one that has been in Greenbrier since 1991. The bank is number one in market share with over 54 million dollars of FDIC deposits in Greenbrier.
“We are a full service bank, not only offering the usual services like deposits, loans and mortgages, but we also have a Financial Banking Consultant, Tony Henderson, available for special investing accounts. We offer a fairly new thing that has come about with the gas drilling going on in our area — Royalty Management accounts — to manage gas royalties,” Adams said.
The bank is further celebrating by offering free hot dogs today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will have a bounce house for the little kids, a petting zoo and free pony rides. Sign up for their drawing because they are also giving away a free trip to Disneyland for four people. The drawing will be held July 16. Radio station Y107 will be broadcasting live.
The new bank is located on the site of the old one at 7 Wilson Farm Road.
