The driver of this GM SUV lost control of the vehicle and ended up sideways but unhurt in Beaverfork Lake late Wednesday afternoon.
31-year-old Anthony Bilbrey, 219 E. Broadway, Morrilton, was arrested at the scene by Trooper Rustin Hitchcock of the Arkansas State Police on suspicion of DWI-drugs, possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license. Hitchcock said that a small quantity of a white "rocklike" substance was found on his person.
A witness who was fishing at the pool across the road from the partially submerged vehicle said that the SUV first left the roadway to the driver's left and then skidded back across the roadway and into the lake. This witness also said the vehicle seemed to have been going faster than normal traffic when it went out of control.

Once again the driver most hazardous to the public, is running loose on a suspended license. It is rather obvious that this type of person is morally incapable of responsible behavior.
Now that he finds himself in front of the Judge, the Judge should have the authority to keep him off the road!
Well wait
Perhaps the driver is Aquaman and his nation was calling.
You want to take the driver's license of Aquaman!
Igor....
HA!!!!
"rocklike" substance...
I am amzed at the munber of times I keep hearing about crack cocaine here in conway. Here, the police beats..other random stories I read...It's a little scary. I never thought that "crack" was that big of a problem in this town..now this story, and the story about the armed burglary..
Crack is whack....SPLASH!
Crack is whack....SPLASH!
Still shook up...
I happened to be the one who he was trying to run off the road and I am thankful I wasn't the one who ended up down there! The guy has some issues, which you can pull his records and find out! Not to mention he jumped back in the water to retrieve his "bag", how obvious!
I would love to say thanks to all the people who stopped to make sure I was ok. There are some outstanding people here in Conway.
And he better be glad my babies weren't with me!
Rocks in the bag.
I hope I never get searched, I always have a few rocklike substances in my backpack. They're actually rocks.
Poor Aquaman... his nation wasn't calling, it was probably text messaging - silly feller, shouldn't be texting behind the wheel.
