A Conway woman was arrested at about 12:45 Sunday afternoon after allegedly aiming a loaded shotgun at police officers.
According to a Conway Police Department incident report, several officers responded to a report of a woman “standing in the roadway screaming at people.”
The officers made contact with a woman identified in the report as 39-year-old Teresa Manning of 1301 Clifton St. and told her to go inside or be arrested for public intoxication. Manning went inside, according to the report, and shortly after an officer heard her scream an insult to the officers and saw her inside the doorway pointing a shotgun in his direction as he stood talking with a neighbor about the disturbance.
The officers drew their weapons and took cover, ordering Manning to come out with her hands up. She complied and was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and public intoxication. A shotgun was found inside the residence with a round chambered and the safety disengaged.
She was arraigned on these charges on Monday and was set a $2,500 bond.
