Jimmy Miller, 28, of Greenbrier is in a battle with leukemia and infection.
Miller’s battle began with an insect bite that would not go away.
After doctors looked into why the bite would not heal, they discovered he had no immune system, according to family spokesperson Dalton Edwards.
It was determined after a bone marrow test that Miller had a rare form of leukemia.
Miller is at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where high fevers and infection are not allowing him to receive treatment for his cancer.
“It is a situation where this couple needs help,” Edwards said, noting that Miller’s wife recently lost her job.
A support account has been established at First Service Bank in Greenbrier.
“The family is doing all it can to help,” Dalton said. “This young family is in serious trouble.”
