2. Residential burglary at 1700 block of South Salem Road. At some point between 8 p.m. Monday and about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday someone broke into two adjacent and unoccupied “show” apartments at The Greens at Nutters Chapel and stole the Insignia 42-inch flatscreen TVs that were inside. There was no sign of forced entry, according to the report.

3. Possession of a controlled substance at 400 block of South Donaghey Avenue. An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle late Monday night after the officer noticed that the driver, later identified as 22-year-old Johnny Ray “Lil Swole” Hutson, wasn’t wearing a seat belt. According to the report, the officer asked Hutson to step out of the vehicle after noticing the smell of suspected marijuana and saw the corner of what is described in the report as “a large gallon-size ... bag full of suspected marijuana” poking out from underneath the driver’s seat. More than a pound of suspected marijuana and $3,219 in cash were taken into evidence. Hutson was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, driving without headlights and no seat belt. He was arraigned on these charges in Faulkner County Circuit Court on Wednesday and was set a $5,000 bond.

4. Possession of a controlled substance at 2300 Prince St. (Conway High School West). School officials confiscated .2 ounces of suspected marijuana from a 16-year-old student Monday morning. According to the report, the student was arrested by an officer, cited for possession of a controlled substance and released to the custody of a relative.

5. Motor vehicle theft at 1600 block of Washington Avenue. Victim reported that at some point between the night of Oct. 26 and morning of Oct. 28 someone stole a 2001 Toyota Echo coupé.

6. Breaking or entering at 2800 block of Prince Street. Victim reported on Monday that someone had cut the lock on a storage unit and stolen a set of McGregor golf clubs, a push mower of unknown manufacture, $200 worth of cookware and what is described in the report as a Gorilla Big Man recliner.

7. Theft of leased/rented property at 1310 Bruce St. (Hiegel Supply). Hiegel Supply management called police on Monday morning after a phone conversation with a man who in July rented a DeWalt air compressor. According to the report, the man claimed that the air compressor had been stolen from the back of a truck in Little Rock. An officer called the renter, according to the report, and was also told that the air compressor was stolen, and the officer advised the renter to “take care of the matter” with Hiegel Supply. The report states that the renter called Heigel Supply back at about 3 p.m. that day and said that he might know its location after all, but would have to check with the person who might have it.

8. Theft of property at 821 Hogan Lane (AT&T retail store). Store management reported on Tuesday that a $621 cash deposit had come up missing.

9. Property damage at 1300 block of Dave Ward Drive. An officer directing traffic at an accident scene during Thursday night’s rainstorm reported that he stepped into the roadway to halt a vehicle that “was going to either run into the accident scene or collide with (oncoming) traffic.” According to the officer’s report, he had to throw his flashlight at a vehicle in a last-ditch effort to stop the driver, but “the vehicle never slowed and I had to jump out of the way.” At this point, according to the report, the driver stopped and asked the officer why he had smashed her windshield with a flashlight. The driver “apologized over and over” after being told that she had nearly ran the officer over and was released after the officer determined that she wasn’t impaired.

10. Unattended death at Brownstone Drive. A woman in her early 40s was reported dead by a neighbor after the neighbor was alerted by a young family member of the deceased. Police found no reason to immediately suspect foul play.

She's lucky she didn't kill or maim someone - and that she got away with just a broken windshield!

alrightythen

so sad..

There have been so many "unattended deaths" lately. I know some were old, but it is so sad to think of people dying alone.

And WOW! at the amount of thefts/robberies etc lately. It is really getting out of control. I think i should get a gun.
