Independent report supports restoration of Faulkner County Courthouse
A new report released by Tommy Jameson of Jameson Architects P.A. says that structurally speaking, the Faulkner County Courthouse is capable of serving residents for decades to come.
Jameson admits that rehabilitation is needed and updates are needed for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
However, Jameson said, in a report that was funded by a grant by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, “as evidenced by other rehabilitated courthouses around the state and nation, to update systems and accommodate modern needs while preserving significant spaces and historic building components such as original windows, doors and finishes.”
