The two shipping containers containing more than $450,000 worth of Kimberly-Clark feminine hygiene products stolen from Conway on Oct. 24 have been located, Conway police confirmed Monday morning.
The first container was located on Thursday in Miami, Fla., and was empty of its contents: several thousand cases of feminine hygiene products belonging to Kimberly-Clark, according to Conway Police Department public information officer Sharen Carter.
The other container and its similar contents were found intact Friday in Marshall County, Mississippi, and a semi-tractor truck belonging to Wayne Smith Trucking also stolen from Conway was found about 20 miles away from where the container was found. This property will be returned to its owners, Carter said.
Another semi-tractor truck reported stolen from Conway on or around Oct. 24 and suspected by police to have been used to steal one of the shipping containers has not been located, Carter said.
A Kimberly-Clark spokesperson wouldn’t comment Monday on whether the products recovered from the container found in Mississippi would still be marketable.
Police have not yet released any suspect information. Those with information pertaining to this crime — or any other — are urged to contact the Conway Police Department at 450-6120.
