The National Weather Service in Little Rock confirmed on Tuesday that a waterspout touched down over Lake Conway.
Sirens were heard throughout the city as emergency officials responded to the weather outbreak.
Officials are reporting no damage or injuries in Conway or Faulkner County.
The funnel cloud was first reported along Dave Ward Drive moving East toward Home Depot and later along I-40 and Highway 286.
Video supplied to the Log Cabin by Ron Thorn shows the waterspout touching down on Lake Conway.

Who made the vid??? and where was it made?
WOW
The sun was out at my house and the tornado siren was wailing away---now I know why....
Water Spout, eh?
Funny, we heard the city sirens at our place of business in the industrial park. We got no confirmation on weather radio, no comments or other info on local internet or Little Rock TV station internet.
From our vantage point and with no other information it was pretty tough to tell anything was really occurring.
For most in the city, I assume it was a moment of fear, brought on by the SIRENS.... not the weather.
The Shrieker strikes again!
#1) If you see what you think maybe a tornado...take cover, do not pick up a camera and start screaming! #2) If you see what you think is a tornado...do not call 911! What are they supposed to do? Chase it out of town?! #3)The male voice on the video complained about the sirens not being set off in what he considered to be a timely manner...they can't be set off until an official (i.e. police officer, firefighter, weather service, etc.) confirms the sighting. #4)The female voice aka The Shrieker wanted the area evacuated...in a tornado we take cover not evacuate...this isn't a hurricane it's a tornado. Not generally a good idea for people to be outside when freak, fast moving weather occurances are touched down in the area! Let's all use common sense instead of pretending to be an amateur meteorologist!
Amen to the above post.......
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Water Spout
A rare and unusual event caught on video by a few Conway residents. They chose to share it with the world including their excitment and emotions. The video explains why the sirens were set off. This was a news event! And yet, there will always be those who want to express the negatives.
1) If you are obviously
1) If you are obviously viewing it from a hilltop miles away, film it. 2) Call 911. Quicker emergency response could be the difference between life and death for any potential victims. 3) He didn't exactly complain. His call may be the reason that the officials verified the tornado and set off the sirens. 4) The woman in the video was just excited and misspoke. I'm sure she knows that you take shelter if you are in the path of a tornado. 5) Nobody pretended to be an amateur meteorologist. They are people who saw a tornado from a great vantage point and were lucky enough to catch it on video. I'm glad they did. It was fun to watch.
Nice vid, but please learn
Nice vid, but please learn how to keep a camera steady. :)
WOW!!!
That was just around the corner from my house..

We could use one of those today. Just have it suck water out of the lake and drop it on Conway.
Bring it!!
