Miss Amanda Courtney and Mr. Daniel Mankey, both of Conway, have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.


The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. Eugene Courtney and Mrs. Jeannette Courtney of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Carolyn Allison of Conway, Mr. Harvey Daughtry and Mrs. Mary Daughtry of Carrabelle, Fla., the late Mr. Eugene Courtney and the late Mrs. Inez Courtney.

She is a 2010 graduate of Conway High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Morrilton. Currently, she is attending the University of Central Arkansas where she is majoring in Early Childhood Education. She is a prospective May 2015 graduate and is employed at Central Christian Academy in Conway.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. Darrell Mankey and Mrs. Tina Mankey of Conway. He is the grandson of Mr. Kenneth Anthony and Mrs. Othelia Anthony of Conway, Mrs. Glenna Mankey of Conway and the late Mr. Donald Mankey.

He is a 2008 graduate of Conway High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in Finance.

He is currently employed as a Pricing Analyst for Maverick Transportation in North Little Rock.

The wedding is set to take place at 5 p.m. Aug. 2, 2014, at OneChurch in Conway, with a dinner reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Conway.

In Florida, with 1,350 miles of coastline, the most in the continental United States, just 42 percent of the 2.5 million homes in hazard zones, are covered by flood insurance, according to the Federal Emergency Management Association.
