Sara Alvis of Dardanelle, Ark., and Tyler Rachel of Conway have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Jamie and Robin Alvis of Dardanelle. She is the granddaughter of Phylis Shaver and the late Bob Shaver and the late Hershel and Alma Alvis.
She is a 2011 graduate of Dardanelle High School. She is currently a Liberty University Undergraduate majoring in Information Technology.
She is employed in the Production Department at the Log Cabin Democrat.
The prospective groom is the son of David and Lorie Rachel of Russellville, Ark. He is the grandson of Erwin and Hettie Rachel and Zuna Lemarr and the late Irvin Lemarr.
He is a 2008 graduate of Russellville High School and a 2012 graduate of Arkansas Tech University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.
He is currently employed as a Graphic Designer for the Log Cabin Democrat.
The wedding is set to take place at 4 p.m. Sept. 20, 2014, at Raymond Munger Memorial Chapel located on the University of the Ozarks campus in Clarksville, Ark.
The reception will be held at Seay Student Center, also located on the University of the Ozarks campus.
