Hudson-Harris engagement

Kelly Hudson and Michael "Josh" Harris

Kelly Hudson and Michael “Josh” Harris, both of St. Charles, Missouri, have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.


The bride-elect is the daughter of Vickie Haider of St. Charles and Keith Haider of Waterloo, Illinois. She is the granddaughter of Jerry Little of Wildwood and Lois Boyle of Florissant and Joseph Haider and the late Dolores Haider of Florissant, Missouri.

She is a 2002 graduate of Francis Howell High School and 2013 graduate of Barnes-Jewish Nursing School. She is employed as a RN at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

The prospective groom is the son of Cindy Harris of Conway and Kavin Harris of Siloam Springs. He is the grandson of the late John and Eleanor Opitz of Conway and Dean Harris and the late Jeanine Harris of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

He is a 1998 graduate of Conway High School and 2007 graduate of Columbia College at St. Louis. He is the Corporate Health and Safety Process Supervisor for UPS in Earth City, Missouri.

The wedding is set to take place April 19, 2014, at The Thaxton in downtown St. Louis.

The couple will be at home in St. Charles.



Five-year report shows 101.6 million Americans participated in hunting, fishing and wildlife-associated activities

The U.S. Department of the Interior announced a new report by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that shows that 101.6 million Americans – 40 percent of the U.S. population 16 years old and older – participated in wildlife-related activities in 2016, such as hunting, fishing, and wildlife-watching. More detailed, state-by-state reports will be available in the near future, but the preliminary report has many interesting findings.
