Brittany Gelene Carpenter and Joshua Caleb Curry

Miss Brittany Gelene Carpenter and Mr. Joshua Caleb Curry, both of Conway, have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. John Carpenter and Ms. Janie Carpenter, both of Conway.

She is the granddaughter of the late Rev. Johnny and Mrs. Rubye Cardin of Conway, and Mrs. Gelene Carpenter and the late Mr. Marvin Carpenter of Ozark, Ark.

She graduated from Conway High School in 2003, the University of Central Arkansas in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2012 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She is currently attending University of Missouri-Kansas City orthodontic residency program.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. Mike Curry and Mrs. Teresa Curry of Conway. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Shannon and Mrs. Mary Lee Curry of Little Rock, and the late Mr. Lee Whitworth and the late Mrs. Ann Whitworth Popp of Clarksdale, Miss.

He graduated from Conway High School in 2001 and Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo., in 2003 with an Associate of Arts. He also attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

The wedding is set to take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 14, 2013, at Greene Chapel at Hendrix College.

The reception will be at the Second Baptist Church Student Center in Conway.
