Anne Elizabeth Gabriel and Jared Fox Jones, both of Seattle, Wash., were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 17, 2013, in a double ring ceremony at Church of the Saviour United Methodist Church, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, officiated by Dr. Charles Yoost of Cleveland Heights.
The bride is the daughter of D. Bruce and Rebecca Gabriel of Shaker Heights, Ohio. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bohlmann of Defiance, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. David Gabriel of Aurora, Colo.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. J. Stephen Jones and Dr. Susan Hinze of Shaker Heights. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Jones of Conway, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Jones of Beaufort, S.C., and Mrs. Karen Hinze of Woodstock, Ill.
The ceremony decorations consisted of large altar arrangements of white roses, alstroemeria, larkspur, and variegated pittosporum, with pew markers of white roses tied with white ribbon bows. Palms and ferns accented the aisle.
Soloist was Ms. Itanza Saraz Lawrence, singing “You Raise Me Up.” Organ music was provided by Mr. Robert Day.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a custom-made ivory silk organza gown, with bodice and straps of re-embroidered French lace, and featuring an A-line skirt with matching lace detail train. The fingertip veil was also trimmed in matching ivory lace. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white calla lilies and larkspur buds, accented with variegated pittosporum, and wrapped in a piece of ivory silk from her gown.
Sarah Gabriel, sister of the bride, of Washington, D.C., served as maid of honor. She wore a floor-length slate gray gown, and carried a hand-tied bouquet of coral and salmon-colored roses, accented with variegated pittosporum, and wrapped in a piece of matching gray fabric from her dress.
Bridesmaids were Kathryn Guess, sister of the groom, of Lakewood, Ohio, Marissa Custren, Michaela Morales, and Margaret O’Connor, all friends of the bride and of New York, N.Y.
The bridesmaids wore dresses matching the maid of honor and carried hand-tied bouquets of coral and salmon-colored roses, accented with variegated pittosporum, and wrapped in a piece of matching gray fabric from the bridesmaids’ gowns.
Jack Kammermeier served as ring bearer and Katherine Kammermeier served as flower girl, both cousins of the groom and of Lake Geneva, Wis.
Jasjit Singh, friend of the groom, of Seattle, served as best man.
Groomsmen were David Gabriel, brother of the bride, and Jude Hinze-Gaines, brother of the groom, both of Shaker Heights, Daniel Petkevich of Seattle, Daniel Brown of Washington, D.C., Shiv Kachru of New York, N.Y., and Joshua Maslin of Seattle, all friends of the groom.
The bride’s mother wore a boat neck floor-length navy blue lace gown, with lace neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. The groom’s mother wore a floor-length V neck royal blue gown, with a ruched bodice and ruched three-quarter length sleeves. The groom’s stepmother wore a delicate floral lace gown with a sweeping, floor-length silhouette, cinched at the waist with a narrow satin belt, scalloped V neck and capped sleeves.
The reception took place at Grand Foyer of Severance Hall, home of The Cleveland Orchestra.
The reception was for 170 guests, featuring a sit-down dinner at round tables with centerpieces of coral and salmon-colored roses, alstroemeria, larkspur and variegated pittosporum.
Servers were from Marigold Catering.
The couple honeymooned in Italy, visiting Rome, Florence and the Amalfi Coast.
The couple will reside in Seattle.
The new Mrs. Jones is a 2008 graduate of Shaker Heights High School, and a 2012 graduate of Columbia University, New York, N.Y. (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa). She is employed as a Marketing Analyst for the online real estate sales company, Redfin.com, in Seattle. Mr. Jones is a 2008 graduate of University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio, and a 2012 graduate of Yale University, New Haven, Conn. (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa). He is employed as an Associate Program Officer, Agricultural Division, of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle.
