Alan Greenwood and Laura Sikes

Laura Sikes of Conway and Alan Greenwood of Arkadelphia, Ark., have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.


The bride-elect is the daughter of Marty and Jennifer Sikes of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Paul and Faye Whittington of Charleston, Ark., Sarah Sikes of Little Rock and Mike Sikes of Dyersburg, Tenn.

She is a 2008 graduate of Conway Christian High School and a 2012 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. She is currently attending the University of Central Arkansas, where she is pursuing a Master of Science in communication sciences and disorders.

The prospective groom is the son of Jack and Patty Greenwood of Arkadelphia. He is the grandson of Nelda Morris and the late Hiram Morris of Conway, and Frances Greenwood and the late Jack Greenwood, Sr. of Little Rock.

He is a 2004 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and a 2008 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. He is currently attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian education.

He is currently employed at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church of Little Rock.

The wedding is set to take place at 2 p.m. on May 25, 2013, at Greene Chapel on the campus of Hendrix College.
