Amanda Gayle Harrison of Little Rock and Richard Joseph Guarno, formerly of Rochester, N.Y., have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Harrison and Mr. and Mrs. John Stuart, all of Conway.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Coy Garrett of Wooster, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Stuart of Little Rock, and Ms. Connie Robinson and the late Mr. Bob Harrison of Morrilton.
She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Loyce Sargent of Little Rock and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bartley of Conway.
She studied rhetoric and writing at the University of Central Arkansas.
She is currently employed as an assistant wedding planner with Finishing Touch Event Design in Little Rock.
The prospective groom is the son of Mr. Richard Guarno of Utica, N.Y., and Mrs. Elizabeth Guarno of Mountain Home, Ark.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Margaret McKinley of Syracuse, N.Y., and the late Mrs. Doris Guarno of Utica, N.Y.
He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts.
He is currently employed as an assistant baseball coach at Young Harris College in Young Harris, Ga.
The wedding is set to take place at 6 p.m. Nov. 17, 2012, at Mabelvale United Methodist Church.
Following the wedding the couple will reside in Young Harris, Ga.
