Smith-Bartlett engagement

Christa Smith of Havana, Ark., and Blane Bartlett of Mayflower, Ark., have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

 

The bride-elect is the daughter of Jeff and Melissa Smith of Havana. She is the granddaughter of Wanda White of Delaware, Ark., Roy and Beverly Smith of Dover, Ark., and Wylie and Christine Jones of Delaware.

She is a 2012 graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a degree in biology.

She is currently working at Pathology Services in Russellville, Ark., as a histotechnician.

The prospective groom is the son of Eddie Bartlett of Conway and Terry and Pam Hensley of Mayflower. He is the grandson of the late Freda Bartlett of Conway and the late Raymond Evans and Linda Evans of Greenbrier, and Tommye and Don Gwin of Mayflower.

He is a 2009 graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a degree in physical education and health. He is currently employed at Western Yell County School District in Havana, where he teaches elementary physical education and coaches football and baseball.

An outdoor wedding is set to take place at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in Delaware, Ark.
