Miss Kayla Paige Johnson and Mr. Anthony Blake Kuykendall, both of Conway, were united in marriage at 1 p.m. on May 26, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The ceremony was officiated by the Deacon Richard Papini.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Roby R. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Sharon and Paul Jordan, all of Conway.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilma and Floyd Kuykendall of Paris, Ark.

The bride was escorted by her father and grandfather. She wore a mermaid fitted white dress with a sweetheart neckline and a corset back. The dress also consisted of a beaded bodice and long train. Her bouquets consisted of white roses and orange calla lilies accented with small white feathers and white satin ribbon.

The bridal party entered to “I Will Be Here,” by Steven Curtis Chapman, performed by Rebecca and Adam Gottsponer.

The couple’s wedding verse was 1st Corinthians 13. Readings were done by their sponsor couple, Mr. and Mrs. Berdie and John Eubank.

Bridesmaids were the bride’s former classmates: Tara Luyet, Rebecca Gottsponer, Keyleigh Fresneda, Rebecca Rohlman, Miranda Smith and Kourtney Gottsponer, all of Morrilton. They each wore mermaid fitted chocolate brown satin dresses with sequined tops.

They each wore black tuxedos with chocolate brown vests and ties. Each was accented with an orange calla lily, small brown feather wrapped with chocolate satin ribbon.

The bridal party exited the church to Blake Shelton’s “God Gave Me You,” also performed by Rebecca and Adam Gottsponer.

The reception took place in Trieschmann Hall at Hendrix College. The reception tables were covered with white satin cloth and chocolate brown runners. Each was accented with decorated bird cages, floating candles and white rose petals. White string lights wrapped in tulle were draped around the hall.

The bride’s cake was a three-tier white cake decorated with chocolate brown accents and topped with a Precious Moments bride and groom.

The groom’s cake was a three-layered square cake in a Texas Longhorns theme to resemble an Igloo cooler.
