Alicia Chapman of Conway and Seth Byers of Batesville have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Michael and Leah Chapman of Conway. She is the granddaughter of LaUna Williams of Stone Mountain, Ga.
She is a 2004 graduate of Conway High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. She is currently a full-time student and a prospective May 2012 graduate of Southern College of Optometry, with a Doctor of Optometry.
The prospective groom is the son of Richard and Janet Byers of Batesville. He is the grandson of Anne Lore Shrable of Gepp, Ark.
He is a 2005 graduate of Southside High School, a 2009 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and is currently attending Vanderbilt University. He is a doctoral candidate for chemistry at Vanderbilt University.
The weeding is set to take place at 4 p.m. Feb. 25 in a private ceremony at Four Winds Chapel.
