Volunteer sought to drive hospital shuttle

Leslie Hanks, volunteer coordinator at Conway Regional Medical Center, is seeking additional volunteers to drive the hospital’s Courtesy Cart on weekdays.

Hanks said the shuttle transports visitors and patients to and from the medical center’s east lobby. The service began in January and is operational 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., provided there are enough volunteers to drive the shuttle.

Qualified volunteers should have a valid Arkansas driver’s license and be able to work four-hour shifts in outdoor conditions.

“We currently have a small but loyal staff of volunteers who are very dedicated to giving rides to patients and visitors,” said Hanks. “We are looking for a few more great drivers to make sure all the shifts can be covered.”

Current drivers are Bob Scroggin, Gene Davenport, Berry Middleton, Bob Schuk and Ron Ross, all of Conway, and CH Turner of Mayflower.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering should contact Hanks at 501-932-3393 or via email at lhanks@conwayregional.org.

Luckily, I found some tips from tax pros on HouseLogic.com, a great resource made possible by Realtors®.
