Jessica Keahey, of Fayetteville, and Andrew Beekman of Fayetteville, have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Kent and Linda Keahey of Hot Springs.
She is a 2000 graduate of Lake Hamilton High School, where she was valedictorian. In 2004, she received a BS in civil engineering at the University of Arkansas, being recognized as the College of Engineering’s Outstanding Senior and graduating summa cum laude. She also earned a MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2008. She was awarded a Professional Engineering license in Arkansas in 2009 and in Oklahoma in 2011.
She is currently employed as an engineer by McGoodwin, Williams and Yates Consulting Engineers.
The prospective groom is the son of David and Sharon Beekman of Conway.
He is a Conway High School graduate and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BS in civil engineering in 2006. He earned cum laude honors in the engineering Honors College. In 2008, he earned a MS in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas. He was awarded a professional engineering license in Arkansas in 2011.
He is employed by GTS, Inc. as an engineer.
The wedding is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2012, at Chi Omega Greek Theater on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, Ark.
